For over two hours we were caressed by the sweet blues, and seduced by sheer genius and talent that this young man posesses.  He will play his own originals and obscure blues covers by the old masters, which you could say have been Re-MASTERED. 

Some say that he is America’s Eric Clapton, but he has his own style and relies only on his own prowess and sheer mastery of the fretboard.  He is entirely authentic, and in todays age of packaged and manufactured bands and singers, this is a rare treat.  The greatest compliment you can give a guitarist is to say that they can hit one note and you know its them.  This applies to Mr. Bonamassa, just one note and it will make you a believer.  It will shake your head and rattle your brain and awaken your mind.  He makes it look easy, and you wind up thinking that you could do the same, only you can’t.  You are not Joe Bonamassa.

As you watch him, you can not believe that someone that young has this much soul.  He takes you places, places only music can take you.  You feel emotions that are rarely awoken by run of the mill music.  This isn’t just the blues, it’s heart and soul music.  There…just like that, I created a new Genre.

These guys put on an amazing show for about 30-40 people in the crowd.  You would have thought that there were hundreds of people there by the way they played.  I look forward to seeing them again , and if you like traditional bluegrass and country fried jamming, this is your band.  For 14 bucks, you can’t beat it.

Jerry Gaskill bringing the thunder. This guy is one of the nicest, most unpretentious people you will ever meet. It just so happens that he's one hell of a drummer.

Doug again.  What can I say?  He’s easy to shoot.  Now that I think of it, he really looks like President Obama with Mohawk Dreads.  Now that would be Change You Can Believe In.

The above photo of Doug Pinnick is quickly becoming my favorite picture that I’ve ever taken.  You can see my portfolio at www.KenBlochPhotography.com to see for yourself.  This one just gives me the chills.  He’s alone in his own musical world.  Even with the spotlight embracing him, he still stands off alone in the shadows.  Lots of drama in this one.  It almost looks like a studio shot.  Enough gushing from me already.

One of the cool things that King's X will do during a show is play "Goldilox" but let the crowd sing the words. Pretty cool moment.

We’ll stop here for now.  One last one of Doug.  I still have to go through the rest of my photos and see what I have.  These here are just scratching the surface.  I’ll post more later.  I would have loved to have had more shots of Ty Tabor, but the guy just sits back and hangs in the shadows all night…maybe next time I’ll get a few more good ones.
